Hello,
I am trying linux mint and I now understand why people like it more than vanilla ubuntu.
But I have a need: ubuntu unity saves a lot of screen space because it puts menus and status bar in the same area.
Mint gnome 3 shell have two panels and "wastes" a line for windows title bar and one for windows menu.
How can I improve this thing?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Mario

Re: Save screen space
You can disable bottom panel extension from advance setting (gnome tweak tool)> shell extension
Maybe autohide top bar .
sometimes you need logout and login again to see the changes.
or maybe get classic mint desktop in GNOME shell
