Unwanted New Toolbar in Caja 1.4 [Solved]

In Caja 1.4 running on LM Mate 13 there is a very fat extra toolbar that appears when I open the "Downloads folder", that says "Personal File Sharing -- You can receive Bluetooth files into this folder." This in spite of the fact that my machine has no bluetooth and Mate seems to know that. Does anyone know how to get rid of this extra toolbar?

I found this annoying as well. I renamed the folder to "Download" (removing the s).

You can get rid of that by uninstalling the package named "mate-user-share".

Thanks, this works also on the Ubuntu packages.

I hope someone files a bug report against this behaviour. The main reason I use MATE is that it isn't (typically) bundled with visual junk.

Either a small 'x' should appear to remove the toolbar directly, or an option in the panel that the toolbar's button brings up.

But unfortunately cannot find source deb package, neither in LMDE repos (I am on LMDE, not main edition), nor on github/linuxmint
