disable dbus mount messages and nautilus open window

Hi everyone,

im using autofs to mount usb drives and nfs drives.
now any time a popup is comming when autofs mountes the devices
and nautilus opens a window to it

ANY TIME i have to close 20 dbus popups and 20 nautilus windows.

i didnt find information on this topic. just a howto for using dbus... but i dont want that!
i dont want any of this, how can i get rid of this?

there is no nautilus in mate.. nautilus is replaced with caja.
so i suggest u to check ur gnome3 configs if nautilus does that.

Hi,

i thought it was nautlius placing those annoying messages...

how can i deactivate it within caja?

open any folder with caja or alt+f2 and type caja
then go to edit -> preferences -> Media
all the options are there for media mounts and stuff

same thing with nautilus if nautilus does that

Hi,

thanks, the filebrowser windows wont show up again.

but my main concern has been the dbus messages above the menu/task panel. any ideas of how to deactivate it?

check mate-notification-properties
might be that...or make a screenshot about those messages...cuz i really have no clue what those are exactly

Why post in the MATE forum then? Wouldn't it make more sense to post in the GNOME3 forum where it belongs? You should get more help there.
