Window edges penetrate adjacent workspaces when snapping

Post by kz205 »

I am using compiz on mint 14 mate to enable snapping windows.

When I snap a window to the right edge of the workspace, it resizes to fill half the workspace. However, the right edge of that window will also penetrate the adjacent workspace on the right by a bit. This makes the window show up on the windows selector on 2 workspaces. This happens sometimes also when I snap a window to full screen. Yet, this does not happen if I snap windows to the left edge of a workspace.

So, is there a way to cause the window edges not to penetrate to adjacent workspaces when I snap to the edge of a workspace? I have a feeling that there might be some compiz option to check to solve this problem but I'm not sure which it is. Any advice?

Thankfully this problem does not exist in Mint 16.
