Updating OpenOffice

Updating OpenOffice

Postby Photon on Wed Mar 20, 2013 8:13 am

I have Linux Mint 64bit and have just loaded OpenOffice. I am writting a novel and found it better than the default office software that came with LM. In the terminal I had put 'sudo apt-get update'. But now it says there is an update available. I am never sure why these things never work, but is there a way I can achive the update in the terminal for openoffice?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

You have to find and add the corresponding ppa for openoffice application. Mint may not have the openoffice ppa in its repository as they ship libreoffice.
