Persistent/Resume RDP sessions

Postby cerien on Fri Oct 25, 2013 10:26 am

New to mint & mate, but not to linux, I am trying to have persistent RDP sessions - ie when I disconnect from a windows 7 client an RDP session, next connections resumes the last connected session.

My understanding with standard XRDP operations is that when I disconnect the session, it is still there as a firexfox instance shows it is still alive.

I've managed to achieve my objective with a not so nice solution - by changing in /etc/xrdp/xrdp.ini the port=-1 to port=ask, I can (after an initial error) key in -1 for the first session, and 5910 for the following connections attempts.

Is there a smoother way ? I like using m$ rdp to connect to my box...
