Im using mint on this computer since mint 13, but now from the latest upate do petra my network manager applet has 2 identical network indicators. How do I remove one of them?
If I remove and re-add the notification area the icons still the same.

Hello everyone!
Im using mint on this computer since mint 13, but now from the latest upate do petra my network manager applet has 2 identical network indicators. How do I remove one of them?

I had a very similar problem which disappeared after a few reboots.
Delete the applet from the Panel.
Make sure your Panel Edit Mode is turned off.
Reboot.
Restore the Network applet.
Hopefully, that will work for you as it did for me.
