Strange occurance

Post by totalnoob »

Hey y'all. I just came bact to mint and installed 17 mate. I also installed compiz and when I try to inable 3d windows for the desktop cube I get this:

I know it worked a couple of years ago and this seems to happen regardless of the distro that I am running. What if any is the fix for this.

As always thank y'all very much.

Hi,

let's have a look on your graphic card and drivers used to see if the compiz effects are supported

Code: Select all

inxi -Gxz
and

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p

at least we know it is supported.
now you will have to try to configure it (my card is a radeon so settings are different)
use this as a guide (Mint 17 is based on Ubuntu 14.04 it helps when you search for answers)
