Configure Menu search to show only installed applications

Post by psicofrenia »

Hi all,

I switch back to Linux Mint Mate a week ago and now I have this weird - default - behaviour in the menu search.
Instead it shows only the applications I have installed - as Cinnamon does - it gives options to search the web, the computer, install packages, etc...

This is extremely annoying and renders that search area totally unusable.

So, the question:
Is there any way to configure the menu search to search only from installed applications (or the applications that already exist in the menu)

Steps to Reproduce
  • Click on the left menu button on the panel
  • Click on the search area
  • Try to search anything (it's easily if the application does not exist)
