Hello, I'm a sometime user of LM that decided to install it on my computer, and while I find it to be a good experience, this issue is rather critical to my ability to use Mint.

On the panel bar, normally I'm supposed to be able to see subbars that relate to the open windows. However, I cannot find anything on the windows. Instead, if I so much as click the show desktop icon, I lose my windows, never to return, cause I cannot find them again. They don't come back from minimization and if I can't click on them from the panel bar how can I use Mint? I have a photo to show what I mean. If there's a stopgap fix or a full one, I'd like to know, cause I did update this computer and it didn't change. I also did have an applet indicator error earlier that I saw was causing some problems. I'll continue to investigate that to see if it's related.

I will report back in if I fix it on my own. I am aware of some issues with Compiz but I turned it off and the problem is still there. I'll check back in an hour about this post. Thank you.

I had a similar problem with Katya, and I finally discovered that the windows were in the small area between the Mint Menu and the Show Desktop button! To fix the problem, I believe I unlocked the Mint Menu and the Show Desktop button, and moved the Show Desktop button towards the left. Not sure this will work in your situation but you can always try...

Well I'll be damned, that was what was wrong, it's fixed now. Thank you, this thread can be marked as solved.
