remove login users from LOGIN screen

remove login users from LOGIN screen

Postby SaintDanBert on Mon Dec 19, 2011 7:35 pm

How do I configure Mint-12 so that the LOGIN screen does not disclose the names of possible users?

There used to be a "Login Screen" menu item under preferences or administration, but, "Hey!" those
are not available on Mint-12.

Thanks in advance,

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Can someone tell me how to merge the current thread "... remove login ..." {aka, THIS thread} into the thread found at http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=37129?

Is that something a user can do or does it require a moderator?

Merci d'avance,

That thread was started for Mint 8 - a version no longer supported.
I'd rather not merge current information into really old threads

Clearly folks continue to try to resolve this issue for newer editions of MInt.
I know I posted over there details of my Mint-12 situation since this new thread did not
get any traction with those who might offer answers.
