Menu missing from Mint 12

Menu missing from Mint 12

Postby ejacton on Thu Jan 19, 2012 9:58 am

I loaded Mint 12 on a Dell Dimension 2400 and everything looks fine except for the menu is missing from the bottom bar, when using GNOME and GNOME Classic. I have tried different desktops and the only one that gives me the bottom bar is MATE but using that takes away the new top bar (which I like). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

You can right click on panel, select new panel
on new panel right click select add to panel:
Mint menu, windows list , notification area, clock workspace switcher , anything you want.
After that you can delete bottom panel.

I am also having this problem, although I should qualify my comments with the fact that I'm running Mint inside VirtualBox. When you say 'right click on panel', what is this panel you are talking about? I see nothing labeled 'panel' on my desktop.

Add second panel on MATE ( If you prefer Top panel)
