menu visible in full screen video

Hello,

I am running the Cinnamon desktop environment on Ubuntu 12.04 (I have also posted this in the Ubuntu forums but I thought I might be able to get more helpful responses here). My issue is that when watching a video in full screen mode, the menu bar on the bottom of the screen is still overlayed on top of the video. This does not happen with youtube, but it happens with every other website that I watch videos on.

I searched the forums and found a vaguely similar post here, but my question is distinct. I've attached a screenshot for reference. Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

I'm having the same problem here... the panel overlaps the video when not in Youtube.

I had that problem too.. Interestingly, if I just right clicked on the full screen video the panel disappears ! Maybe that will do till this Cinnamon bug is fixed.

I'm having this issue, too. The developers appear to be aware of it since two months ago:

I don't know if it has been fixed in Cinnamon 1.6. Let's hope so.
