In looking at all the desktops offered in that poll, I would like to ask the community here what you would like to see added/subtracted/created in Cinnamon? What features from other de's would you like to see in Cinnamon if any? What does a future Cinnamon look like to you?

I missed out on the poll!

IMO Cinnamon mainly needs:

- calendar integration in the date applet (a calendar you can do stuff with, interact with, like in Gnome Shell, and not just see what day in the month it is)
- improved theme
- improved menu (dalcde's classic menu so far is the best integrated menu for Cinnamon)
- proper messaging/email integration in a stock applet
- change panel height/colour/transparency via a right click menu

I had not even considered the calendar feature but the panel height/transparency absolutely. I have been using gnome pie and am now addicted to it I'd love a few features from compiz but the foundation is right on track I think
