Just upgraded Ubuntu 10.10 to 12.04 and Unity was as hard to use and unnecessarily different from GNOME 2.32 as I'd expected.

Cinnamon 1.4 ppa to the rescue!

Yes indeed. Me too installed Ubuntu 12.04 and Cinnamon from PPA, and I'm loving it.

Just a quick question regarding Cinnamon.. how do you access the shutdown button in Menu using the keyboard? It seems I can only highlight the Application icons using the arrow keys.
