Window list font in panel

Postby valtiel on Fri May 04, 2012 8:58 am

Is it possible to adjust the font that is used to render the window titles in the panel? I tried changing all of the fonts in Cinnamon Settings -> Fonts, but none of them seem to apply to the window titles in the panel. I find the default font setting for them a bit hard to read.

those fonts are decided by the theme ur using unfortunately, maybe it will change in future versions of cinnamon?

you can change them manually for the time being tho, by going to ~/.themes > your theme > cinnamon > and open cinnamon.css in a text editor then search for 'font' and change as you like (maybe a good idea to make a backup of the original cinnamon.css first)

alternatively your theme might be located in /usr/share/cinnamon/theme
maybe there are other locations too..

Thanks for the info, I made some changes to cinnamon.css and it works great. If the default font bothers anyone else, the font is located in "stage" directly at the top of the file, and you can change other font attributes of the panel in "#panel" a bit further downwards.

Personally I set the font-family to "ubuntu" instead of "cantarell" and changed the font-weight in #panel to "bold" instead of "normal" and it looks much more readable now.
