[Solved] Lost applets after moving dashboard

Postby Bigou on Sat May 12, 2012 12:33 pm

Hello here!

I am using Cinnamon on Ubuntu 12.04. That's worked fine until I've decided to move back the dashboard (called "Tableau de bord" in my french install) in the botom of my screen. Now I've got a bank dashboard.
So now I want to delete my Cinnamon config, but don't want do delete Unity or Gnome 3 configs in the same time, but can't find by myself Cinnamon's config files in my home folder.

Please, can you say to me where they are?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Have you tried Cinnamon Settings > Applets > Restore to default. From a terminal or run dialog enter:

Code: Select all
cinnamon-settings applets

I've lost access to Cinnamon settings or any terminals other than the "6 TTY". But probably I can log-in with Unity for UI, (Or any functional GUI) and then open Cinnamon's settings to unset alls my applets to set them. After that, I have to re-move alls of them where I want, but Cinnamon is back to usable state.

Thanks !
