I have downloaded a couple of extra themes and can see the new themes along with the original items. That all looks correct.
When I select a theme (in the Cinnamon Settings) the task-bar shows a change but the screen remains at the default setting.
Am Running Cinnamon on a 32 bit system Mint-13
Really need some help here;

What do you mean by "the screen remains the same"? Cinnamon themes only change panels and panel popups and modal shell dialogs, not wallpaper and window themes if that's what you're after
