Same problem here.
I've been using Mate for the last month, today i wanted to switch to Cinnamon, and when I selected it at the login splash screen, it started without deskbar, so i have to execute
- Code: Select all
cinnamon --replace
to have the deskbar started, but it shows a lot of errors

Also it failed at first to establish wireless connection (it started working at the second or third attempt)
ALSA also doesn't work
snd_pcm_open failed: Connection refused.
I'm using Connamon 1.4.0 in LMDE with 3.2.0-2-686-pae kernel.
Any hint about what the solution may be?
For what i have read and investigated, de "JS" errors can be solved marking the lines (the ones with errors) marking them as "true/false". (although i dont know how to apply this solution, nor where or how)
Also, some users in the cinnamon github page suggested that the 'StBoxLayout' errors could be because of a Poorly coded GTK theme or an Menu-applet. I have no other installed theme but the default one, the same with the applets.
