Hi all,
this should be simple. How can I cycle through all applications on all workspaces using keyboard shortcut. ALT-TAB let's me only go through the windows on the currently active workspace. Cinnamon 1.4 would go through all (as do gnome-shell, unity). That seemed to have stopped in Cinnamon 1.6. Currently running 1.6.4.
Thanks and cheers,
Riko

It's always a good idea to read update notes before updating, see http://cinnamon.linuxmint.com/?p=207
[Edit] your original post and add [SOLVED] once your question is resolved.

Thanks, I did! And even on the second pass-through it does not answer my question.
In the meantime, I discovered that the Cinnamon Keyboard Shortcut setting dialog is different from the gnome3 dialog. There I found "Toggle showing windows on all workspaces" However, setting a shortcur, it still only shows the ones on the current workspace.
Cheers,
Riko

Can someone clue me in to an answer to this question? I'm trying cinnamon again to see if it's improved enough to move away from gnome shell and this is one of the things I can't really live without. Reading the aforementioned release notes really doesn't answer the question unless I'm being thick and missed it after reading through it twice. I've searched through Cinnamon Settings and I'm not seeing it there either.
I'm using 1.6.4+maya.
Thanks.

If it comforts you, you're not alone. Therefore:
BUMP!
Does anybody have an answer to this one?

You may try this extension: http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/extensions/view/3
It is Cover Flow Alt-Tab, and you can use Ctrl-Alt-Tab to switch through windows from all workpaces.
Oh, just realized that it is the shortcut "Switch system controls" on GNOME System Settings. I'm using GNOME 3.6 Control Center, so I'm not sure if it works for you...

Re: ALT-TAB through applications on all workspace (C 1.6)
I've just recently switched to cinnamon. Alt-Tab is only thing that I'm not pleased about. I also stumbled across a number of extensions out there that allows me to "alt-tab" across multiple desktops, but it requires me to press down on the ctrl key. I wrote up a blog about how I hacked around it: http://lihchen.wordpress.com/2013/02/20 ... w-manager/. I also pushed my minor changes on github. Feel free to grab it.
