Custom short-cuts not working in Cinnamon 1.6.

Hi there.

I am running Mint 13 with Cinnamon 1.6 & have just tried to create a custom shortcut to close a window - the default is Alt +F4. I cannot find a way to make my choice of custom short-cut - Alt+Z - stick. It just reverts back to the default Alt+F4 shortcut. I have found some suggestions via Google but don't want to mess things up further by tweaking code.

Suggestions would be welcome as I really need some custom shortcuts for my DE.

Big thanks in advance!

Similar thing happens to me in a recently installed Mint 14 Cinnamon on a TOSHIBA Laptop. Only difference is that the key combination is accepted but then nothing happens, as though it hadnt been reckognized.

Paulzsen, yeah that's strange - I googled it & notice that it has been well documented in the bug reports, so no doubt it will get ironed out in future releases. Custom short-cuts are a fairly standard requirement, so I'm confident this will be sorted out in time. In the meantime keep enjoying Mint! Is this your first install of Linux? It is for me. Go well meantime.
