Window movement lag

Postby Plecktrov on Sun Mar 17, 2013 11:25 pm

I have a problem when using the Cinnamon DE on Linux Mint 14 Nadia concerning the movement of windows.
Whenever I move around a window in Cinnamon (both 3D and 2D), the window lags behind the mouse cursor.
To clarify: it seems as if the window is being dragged by the mouse cursor (which ironically turns into a hand) with an elastic rope.

This only happens when using Cinnamon, as windows are moving as they should when I use the GNOME2 fallback mode.
This also only happens when I use the proprietary NVIDIA drivers.

I've used a lot of different kernels and driver versions, namely:
    3.5.0-25 + nvidia-current
    3.5.0-25 + nvidia-experimental-310
    3.5.0-25 + nvidia-313 (xorg-edgers)
    3.7.0-7 + nvidia-313 (xorg-edgers)
    3.8.3 + binary driver
    3.8.3 + nvidia-experimental-310

Here is the inxi -Fxz output:
