How to add more effects to Cinnamon

I want to know if there's any way to add more effects to Cinnamon including Compiz effects like burn, fade and expo effects. compiz-fusion-plugins-extra has been removed from Ubuntu 12.10 repository and these effects are no longer there. I think Linux Mint should add these effects to Cinnamon and make it more exciting!!! Help is appreciated
