Default icon size on desktop

Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to set default size for icon on desktop (because now is to big for me).

Hi,

You can right-click the icons on the Desktop, and click "Resize icon ..."
Then drag it to desired size.

Yeah I know that and that is very nice feature. But i don't like default size, so i am looking for way to set default size or something, because i don't like resizing every time when new icon is created.

I had the same question and have posted it to superuser:

However, I think I have worked it out:
* I installed Nautilus (I don't know if this is a pre-requisite - try without first)
* Open File Manager
* Edit -> Preferences -> Views
* The 'Icon View Defaults' setting will then change the settings on the desktop as well as for the file manager.
