How do I trigger the volume change OSD?

Postby quarks on Sun Mar 31, 2013 7:12 pm

Hello,

i want to be able to increase the volume over 100% by pressing the volume up and down keys.

i use this to increase the volume and to play the reference sound.
Code: Select all
pactl set-sink-volume 1 +3932
canberra-gtk-play --file=/usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo/audio-volume-change.oga

but how can i make the OSD show up?
i have no idea where to look for the scripts/commands which are triggered on volume key press by default. i can only view/edit commands of custom keyboard shortcuts. how can i find out what action is triggered upon the default shortcuts?

thanks in advance
