cinnamon menu mini problem

good day to all. i have this mini problem about cinnamon menu.
there is a little gap between the edge of the screena and the edge of the menu.
it's annoying and i want to find a solution to this - i want the gap gone.
just like the start menu in windows. thank you for those who will answer or suggest solutions

this is not a photo of my desktop but somehow resembles it.
mine has its panel on top and the gap is wider than in the photo.
