How to open a program in a particular section of the sceen
For example: Nautilus window always opens in the upper left corner of my screen. I would like it to open in the lower right corner.

What desktop are you using? There are several. In KDE this is easy. Right click on an app title bar, select more actions, then special window settings. You can set any window's size and position.

Forgot to include detailed information. I am running Mint 13 Maya with Cinnamon desltop.
