[LM13-Cinnamon] Screen lock problems since last update!

[LM13-Cinnamon] Screen lock problems since last update!

Hi all,

yesterday or the day before there came a new prio 1 update for LM13 Cinnamon. Don't remember exactly what. But after installation I had to re-download my theme and more important: since this update, automatic screen lock does not work anymore! When I close my laptop it goes to standby as usual. When I open it, the screen is not locked!!! Before this update, all was perfect.

I checked my settings, they are ok! I changed them and back again, but no cure.

What can I do? Any idea?

No need to remember. Simply look it up, please, and let us know.
Go to the Mint Menu [Menu] => System Administration => Update Manager.
Inside the Update Manager go to View => History. Sort the list of updates which have been performed on the "Date" column, descending, i.e. the latest updates will be on top.
Which update has been installed right before your problem started?

I am having the same problems after some updates came to LM13 over the backports repo about a week ago.

Cinnamon is now version 1.8.8+maya
MDM is now version 1.2.5+maya

The gnome-screensaver was removed and replaced with cinnamon-screensaver 1.8.0+maya

muffin and some others were also updated but I believe that cinnamon-screensaver is most likely the culprit.

Anyone have any idea what may be causing the issue? Dependencies? Reconfigureation?

I am having the same problem in Mint 15 Cinnamon, so it's not just Mint 13 that is affected.

Still a problem. Has anyone figured a way to fix this while keeping cinnamon screensaver?
