Map spare Mouse buttons to key-strokes

Hi,
Just installed Mint 15 and am enjoying it.
I am very used to having the extra buttons on my mouse mapped to certain keystrokes (eg copy paste) and cant break the habit of pressing buttons to find noting happens.
Is there some way I could map these buttons to keystrokes. Lots of information on the net, but none of the solutions work with Cinnamon.
Any help much appreciated.
