Hey Everyone,
I downloaded the virtualbox launcher applet from the cinnamon website, put it in ~/.local/share/cinnamon/applets and unzipped. It shows in the applet choices but when I click on it the icon does not show up. I went to looking glass and found 2 errors associated with that applet:
no JS module 'settings' found in search path
panel1:right:0:vboxlauncher@mockturtlTypeError: e is null
What should I do to fix this? I am not linux native so as little jargon as possible and little words please. Thanks for any help!

My bad. The version posted on the cinnamon site is only for 1.8 and up.
