I downloaded Mint 16 and to my own astonishment, I have a completely working environment with everything in place and a fresh computer abt one hour later.
But somewhere along the process, this extremely ugly window design shows up and I have no idea where or why?
I would have guessed somewhere under System Settings?

Go to Cinnamon Settings => Themes => Other Settings and change the window borders there.

Well, that was the initial problem, I was used to have Cinnamon settings under Preferences/Bluetooth and above Preferences/Color, but that is missing in 16. Instead, there are some Cinnamon-specific settings within System Settings.
But you actually led me to the solution, thanks. It's the other way around, Preferences/System Settings/Themes/Other settings...
