I am having a problem with random freezes of my Cinnamon Desktop on Mint 16. My Mouse still moves, but nothing is clickable. They just occur out of the blue, or at least that's what my lack of experience tell's me to believe. A STRG+ALT+Backspace brings me back to the Desktop.
This also occurs sometimes when my pc idles and the monitor turns off for a longer period of time. All i see then is the dimmed Screensaver lock screen with no reaction to input. I tried turning off the lock function in screensaver settings, but it didn't help in stopping this behavior.
This is probably a very generic question, but maybe someone can point me in a direction of where to look, since im more a less a newbie when it comes to troubleshooting a linux installation.
Best Regards,
el
