Hello all,
The network (wi-fi and ethernet) tray icon doesn't work properly for me in Cinnamon (Mint 16, 32-bit). After disconnecting, it often still shows the connected image, but not every time. The problem occurs whether disconnecting from a wired or wireless network. Clicking on the icon gives the correct status, but this is a bit frustrating just to see if you are connected to the internet. Are others experiencing this problem too? Is it a bug?
I've shifted over from MATE with Mint 16, so I'm not sure if this was also a problem in earlier versions of Cinnamon.
Many thanks for your help!

Re: Wi-fi indicator not working in Cinnamon 2.0
Yes very frustrating, you never know clearly which is your status.
When you want to save power and turn off the wifi, you can't if a router is ON.
Mate is much more efficient on this point.
I hope the coming LinuxMint 17 (mid May) will bring a decent WIFI applet.
Cordially
