Locking a program to workspace

Post by Deuxis »

Hello, I would like to make a program always appear in certain workspace, not the one I'm currently using. Is that possible?

I have the same desire. I usually run six workspaces categorizing different areas of interest. I'd like mail to open in #1, weather stuff in #5, etc. Some would be multiple opening of the same program, e.g., firefox might open 5 times with different urls. Other programs would open on startup in their designated workspace.

Thank you, Doug

I wish this were possible, but AFAIK this is not possible with any DE. You can change the name of the workspace and have it persist, but not the programs open on it.

I'd be very happy to be wrong. :)

OSX has this and I miss it from there.
