I just installed mint 17 with Cinnamon and love it, but unfortunatly it keeps freezing. If anyone could help me with this I would truly appreciate it. The computer becomes unresponsive and the mouse freezes. To unfreeze it I have to reboot or press ctr alt f1 and then ctr alt f8. I have a Samsung chronos 7 and have installed root on a small internal sd drive that came with the machine, and the home directory on a normal drive. I previously ran Mageia 4 on the two drives without problems. Apart from the freezing everything functions. I dont see much pattern to the freezing, excpet that it often happens when I use firefox or especially skype. I have tried changing nvidea graphics drivers, but it does not help.
The syslog looks like this when it crashes. The last entries are always acpid when it crashes. It seems to connects and diconnect a lot before a crash. I am no expert in Linux or mint so please excuse if this is not the relevant log file.

I cannot help you I'm afraid, I've replied to you because I have the same problem!
Googling seems to bring up a few more users of LM17 also having the same problem but no answers, sorry.
