hello,
i have a problem after logging in to Linux 17.1 with cinnamon. The desktop is completely messed up. No symbols appear, right click doesn't work, menues do not show up and so on. it might be a Problem with my xserver configuration I guess, but due to my humble Linux knowledge this is just an assumption. the Problem occured unexpectedly as the System was running fine ever since. also i don't think it's a Driver issue as it worked fine all the time.
is anybody out there with a similar issue?
if further (Hardware oder software) information required, please let me know.
regards
steffmaster

Re: graphical problems after login
Try this:
Open the system configuration -> desktop settings and activate the top most option to show desktop icons.
That is for the problems you described in detail (no icons, no context (I assume you mean this) menu). I have no idea, what "and so on" might mean.
