[SOLVED] Mint Menu Cinnamon 1.4

Postby Therion87 on Sat Mar 24, 2012 8:12 am

When there are no active windows open under Cinnamon 1.4 the menu button doesn't fully display the word menu, it says Men..., but when I open a window that appears in the taskbar the word menu is fully displayed. How can I go about getting it to display the word menu complately even with no windows in the taskbar?

It's a bug, just add some spaces after Menu to get the entire word to display.

That didn't seem to help, I tried to add a seperator but it just snaps to right next to the menu applet.

He meant edit the Menu text. Open Cinnamon Settings and go to the Panel dialog. The option to edit the text should be there. Just add a few spaces so that the menu will read "Menu...".

Since this seems solved, I'll be free to ask something here... is there an instruction on how to enlarge/change Cinnamon menu font?

It's already fixed in some cases but not yet for everybody. Cinnamon development is kinda paused right now while the team is deciding what to do with incompatibilities between Mint 12 and Ubuntu 12.04 on which Mint 13 will be based.
