Changes in gnome icons after installing kde

I had my lmde machine with cinnamon and gnome and I just installed kde to get a feel of it. After the installation and trying out kde, I logged out and back into gnome. However, the icons for most programs from the app menu now look different. some of them are now very faint and some are pixelated. All the programs work fine, but these new icons are just annoying. It's not a big deal but I'm kinda OCD about it.
