I am using Mint 13 and due to a freezing-bug in Cinnamon, I am working with Mate now.
My question: Why do some applications refuse to use the current gtk-theme? I read through the internet and found someone saying that's the case because of those applications being made for GTK3-themes and not GTK2 anymore. Is that true?
And if yes: Is there any possibility to change that?
It is not a major problem, I still can work with that..
But the other way round it would be just a little prettier
