install theme from another distro

Ok, since I'm here today, here's another minor question. I'm running Mint 13 KDE now. I did try Ultimate Edition 3.4 for a while. It had some nice themes for windows decorations and icons built in. Can I install any of those themes or are all the various themes out there specific to a particular desktop manager, not interchangeable? If not, I wonder if it would be a lot of work to make it compatible?

I'm surprised. No answers yet. I think U.E. uses Unity with compiz, or at least that is what I had installed by default. When I use system settings (Mint 13 KDE) to search for theme related installs I don't see these U.E. themes listed. I'm not sure if it is a compatibility issue or a 'hey, we don't post this stuff here' issue. Anyone?
