I started doing this for my own fun and use and pretty much just made everything to my taste, so it might not suit everyone. There's a cinnamon theme, and a wallpaper that goes well with it, but you're of course free to use either of them alone.

Theme (to install, unpack to ~/.themes) Wallpaper http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/2682/zah.png

To get the menu icon of the theme working, you need to go to your panel settings, and manually change the menu icon there. Set it to ~/.themes/Crudeoil/cinnamon/menu.png
