Postby Pyroserpent on Wed Apr 30, 2014 1:54 pm

Hi Im using Mint 16 cinnamon edition.
Now I see lot of people having file managers that has dark background on them like this

but even though I downloaded some dark themes my one is always like this with white background:

Can someone please tell me how do i make the white background of my file manager black?

Also how do I change my login screen? Where do I download new login screen from?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

There are a few of possibilities. The most common I've seen are:
- Some themes have a configuration script that produce light and dark versions from one "package" of the theme.
- Some themes change Nautilus' looks, but not Nemos. As I'm not too up to date on these types of themes, I couldn't tell you why, but I'm sure it's CSS or similar if you want to dive in.

http://linuxmint-art.org/ and http://gnome-look.org/ (or any of their sister sites) are a great places. Google "mdm login theme", and you'll get a ton.

Here's one I like :). Know that it's terribly outdated, and I am actually going to post an update to it soon (hopefully this week).
