G"day guys and gals,
After trying other distros i've come back to Mint but this time i'm having a crack at the MATE version.
I'm very new to Linux mint MATE i was using Cinnamon and i knew how to change the mouse pointers in Cinnamon and it was very easy, just put the folder on /Home/.icons and then it would find it and you could select it. However i tried this with mate but it didn't work. i put it in /usr/share/icons as well as root and it still doesn't see the mouse pointers. i moved the icons to these folders and it found my new icons and i could select them but not the mouse pointers. i Have search for 3hrs last night trying to find my solution so this is my last hope. i'm using mint+compiz if this helps.
