start menu button too big

I changed my start menu button to the mint icon and now it is too big making it non functioning and impossible to change back. Any help will be apprecaited.

You want to use the one titled mintMenu.png, not the larger one titled Mint-logo.svg. What do you mean by you can't change it back? Can't you change it back the same way you messed it up? Or is there something else wrong?

Which Mint and desktop are you using?

I'm using linux mint 17 mate which is all updated. I can't change it back because right clicking in the area has no effect. Can I get to the proper screen through the terminal?

Run this in terminal

Code: Select all

mintmenu --reset

If you can't navigate to terminal press Alt+F2

Thanks. Worked immeadiately. Everything is now back to normal.
