Changing desktop font color from white to black

Post by blueredgreen »

Linuxmint 17.1 mate with mint-x theme uses a white font on the desktop (I think it is actually white with kind of a greyish shadow to help you to see it with lighter desktop backgrounds).

I would like to change the color to black. I have gone into a few of the usr/share folders but cannot find the right file to change this.

That nasty windows os had a different take on this issue ... if you chose a solid background color it would give you a white font for dark colors and a black font for light colors ... you could play with light/dark until you got something that you liked.
