Compiz extra Annimations

Postby mattrixx on Sun Jan 27, 2013 7:11 pm

I have MINT14 "Mate" now running good on my laptop, with Compiz, Main and the "Extra Plug-ins" added as well.
I can't seem to locate the additional effects like "Animation Add-Ons". I just have the Main effect settings which work good.
How can I gain back the extra animations like "burning" "Cube deformation" etc. that I had with Compiz and MINT12?

Thanks

quite a few of the old compiz animations have been removed from latest compiz due to the devs from individual plugins not maintaining and keeping their plugins up to date. I had the same issue and searched for days for "border reflections" which i used to have but its gone now. it is one of the plugins that is out dated and was removed :(

I guess we can just cross fingers and hope at some point some of these guys descide to update the plugins for next version of compiz...

One plugin i would love to see updated is the anaglyph plugin, Compiz in 3D is something id love to see, but that one has been outdated for quite some time now ...

Oh wow thanks for that info, I was unaware.
I dont use my (older Toshiba) laptop much except when travelling on vacation.
I must say though that the Compiz effects from MINT12 sure did get a lot of "attention" from fellow travellers.
Like you say, lets hope "they" bring em all back and more!
