compiz color filter in a new window

Hi,

I've recently been diagnosed with irlen syndrome (http://irlen.com/index.php) so I've been using compiz color filter to give the screen a green colored filter. This works great, along with the prescription tinted glasses. I don't feel tired all the time now. Unfortunately, there is a bug with compiz that means that the filter is not applied to new windows or menus. Would someone be able to tell me if there is a workaround for this. I was thinking of a command that tells 'color filter' to 'toggle window filter' every time a new window is opened. 'Toggle window filter' is currently assigned the keybinding '<super> f'. I'm having to press '<super> f' every time I open a new window.

I'm running xfce 4.8 on Linux Mint 12.
