MAC style launcher? applet? shelf?

Hello guys! I am a "recovering Windows user" Been getting into Linux a little the last couple weeks.... Started out with Ubuntu 12.10 but had some issues...So I came to Mint with Cinnamon 14.1.... What I am using Linux for (as of now) is Android Development... mainly building and theming custom ROMS.. I have some issues on that but have heard there is another section for that so I will search there on that end... Now to the point... I REALLY would like to have the Launcher like what is used on a MAC... I have never used a MAC but I think that having easy access to all of my frequently used apps at the bottom in that nice looking launcher would be very nice... I know I can add them to the bar but would much rather have the same MAC style access to the apps at the bottom... I have searched Google as well as this site and have come up rather empty... I am willing to bet something like this is available but feel I am just using the wrong terms.... I am NO stranger to finding things on my own however this has seemed to elude me for a couple of days now.... I am really looking to rid myself of Windows all together but I will go into all of that in the Intro section.... I appreciate any help I can get on this..... I am sure I will be able to help in the near future once I learn more about how to use Linux and all it has to offer....

As a side note I did install and try Bodhi since it had this kind of feature but I just couldn't navigate it and get it to do what I was looking for...
