conky shadow using xcomp&fluxbox

Found a workaround! Place conky & in startup script after the xcomp lines. Place after where shows wicd & etc as shown in my startupfile
# ADD APPLICATIONS YOU WISH TO LAUNCH AT LOGIN IN THIS SECTION

# MAKE SURE THAT APPS THAT KEEP RUNNING HAVE AN ''&'' AT THE END.

#start xcompmgr if direct rendering is enabled
/usr/lib/linuxmint/mint-fluxbox-default-settings/xcomp-toggle.sh &




/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintUpdate/mintUpdate.py &
wicd-client &
xscreensaver -no-splash &
gnome-power-manager &
system-config-printer-applet &
bluetooth-applet &
volwheel &
xfce4vino &
conky &

What's this a workaround for?
