How do I run Mint artwork and Conky at the same time?

Greetings folks,

I am running Mint 7 Gnome with Compiz on my T42 with the Aurora-Midnight theme. I have conky running on another laptop that runs Crunchbang (a t22). I would like to run that same conky config on my t42, but every time I go to install conky synaptic wants to uninstall mint-artwork. Is there a conflict between mint-artwork and conky that I don't know about? I would really like to keep my desktop (with all of its compiz deliciousness) and have conky running on the desktop. is there a way I can do this? Cheers in advance for any help.

Are you sure? I don't think installing Conky on it's own would cause such an action (mint-artwork to be removed).

yeah. I tried installing it again and it removed the GTK+ Aurora-midnight theme. I also lost transparencies.
